Lay the screw on white paper with a coin one inch above it and take a picture. EHAQ measures the diameter, pitch and length against the coin and names the size — metric M1 to M24, SAE #00 to 1 inch in diameter.

Getting a good result
Use plain white paper and lay the screw pointing up. Place the coin about one inch above the screw. Hold the phone level — the app shows a bubble level. Box the coin carefully (tap Help and Example on that screen to see how), then mark the threads when the app asks.Why did I get two sizes?
Some sizes are too close to tell apart in a photo. The app shows both and tells you which is more common. Check the screw against both before buying.Does it need the internet?
No. Measuring works offline. Only the shop-local feature uses your location and a connection.Is my photo uploaded?

Nothing you photograph or measure is sent to us or to anyone else.Camera. EHAQ uses your camera to photograph a screw next to a coin. Each photo is analysed on your phone and never leaves it.Photos. If you choose to save a result, EHAQ adds the image to your Photos library. It asks permission first and cannot read your existing photos.Shopping search. The “shop” button opens a Google search in your browser for the size EHAQ identified (for example, “M6-1.0 screw”). Nothing else is sent. Google’s privacy policy applies to that search.Purchases. EHAQ is sold through the Apple App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your payment details.Children. EHAQ is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.Changes.
